ASUS ZenFone 6 gets a frameless display with an unusual cut

The photo got a working prototype of the new flagship ASUS. The successor of ASUS ZenFone 5 will lose monobowers but retain a dual camera. The Taiwanese company ASUS is preparing to release the sixth generation of the flagship line ZenFone. The new flagship of ASUS ZenFone 6 will receive a now fashionable frameless design with an unusual arrangement of cut for the front camera. At least, such is present on the working prototype of the smartphone.

Sources have poured photos and videos of the ASUS ZenFone 6 prototype into the Network. Almost its entire front panel is occupied by the display, the size and resolution of which are not specified. In place of monobrow, like in ZenFone 5 and ZenFone 5Z, a small drop-shaped protrusion will come, accommodating only a front-facing camera. Interestingly, it is not located in the center, like many other smartphones, but closer to the upper right corner.

Changed the location and speaker. In Asus ZenFone 6, it is located at the junction of the front panel and housing frame. The volume buttons and the power button are located on the right, and on the bottom, you can see the speaker grilles, USB Type-C port and audio jack for headphones. Interestingly, the dual front camera, flash and fingerprint scanner of the prototype are combined into one module in the center of the back panel. Judging by the video.

As expected, ASUS ZenFone 6 will be presented at the exhibition MWC 2019, which will be held in Barcelona from February 25 to 28. But it will go on sale not earlier than May. We do not yet have information on the technical characteristics and cost of the new flagship.
