Intel Updated the Line of Xeon E Processors for Workstations

As expected, the new products are more productive than their predecessors. Requirements for heat removal remained at the same level.

The company Intel has released 10 new models at once Xeon processors series E, designed for entry-level workstations. The cost of new products is still unknown. It is expected that partners of the American corporation in the person of Dell, HP, Lenovo, and others will introduce computers based on new processors in the near future.

The new line Xeon E is designed to meet the demand of any buyers. Processors range from a four-core Xeon E-2124 with four streams, 8 MB of cache memory and no integrated graphics to the best model of the updated series in the face of the Xeon E-2186G: six cores with a clock speed of 3.8 GHz (Turbo Boost up to 4.7 GHz ), 12 streams, 12 MB of cache memory, integrated graphics Intel UHD Graphics 630. Naturally, the design requirements for the heat dissipation are also different: the TDP index varies from 71 to 95 watts. All new items have 40 lines of PCIe 3.0, support up to 64 GB of DDR4-2666 RAM and are suitable for motherboards with an LGA 1151 connector.
