All options for Resident Evil 2 Remake were evaluated.
While Capcom Europe COO Stuart Turner was interviewing a game site, he expressed interesting ideas for Resident Evil 2 remake. According to Capcom, Resident Evil 2 Remake had different ideas from his minds and he thought he would add FPS mode to the game.
Capcom Europe COO Stuart Turner made the following statements:
“We have been arguing between us to address the game. Could we do this for those who want fixed controls and fixed cameras? But these players changed with the world. If they were loyal to the old mechanics they would play the game, but they would actually decide that it was not what they wanted.
We played on several points in the development process and tried the first person camera, the fixed camera, but the game itself changed as well. That’s why we decided that the TPS camera would be more appropriate.”
At the same time EMEA Marketing Manager Antoine Molant made some statements about the subject, saying that in the case of camera stabilizers, the user segment would be split in two.

As a result, Capcom has considered other camera options for the Resident Evil 2 Remake, but ultimately the TPS decided on the camera.
