Telegram Passport allows you to download all the identity documents once and to exchange confidential information with applications that require such an identifier (banks, crypto-currencies, etc.). Documents and personal data stored in Telegram Passport will be located in a decentralized cloud using end-to-end encryption. According to the company, the messenger itself does not have access to the Telegram Passport data, and when shared, they are transferred directly to the recipient.

Currently, only TelePassments.com e-payment system supports registration and identity through Telegram Passport. In the future, the number of services will increase, as Telegram plans to attract developers to the platform. Soon, the messenger will also add support for verification. Due to this feature, services cannot even request data, and rely on a verified account – hence the user is a real person.

Check the entrance using Telegram and look at the Telegram Passport sample on a special page. The following document types are available for download:

  • Personal information (name, phone number)
  • E-mail address
  • Passport, foreign passport
  • Driver’s license
  • Registration, temporary registration
  • The personal account of housing and communal services, bank statements, lease agreements.
  • User’s photo.
