Toshiba has released waterproof SD cards for recording and storing 8K-video

The cards of the UHS-II EXCERIA PRO N502 series have a capacity of up to 256 GB, reading speeds of up to 270 MB / s and recording up to 260 MB/s. Toshiba has presented for the European market a new line of UHS-II EXCERIA PRO N502 SD cards specially designed for use in digital cameras. Memory cards are great for recording videos in 4K and 8K Ultra-HD formats.

Novelties can boast of high-speed indicators. The minimum data transfer rate is 90 MB/s, which corresponds to the Video Speed Class 90 class and is superior to UHS Speed Class 3 and SD Speed Class 10. According to the manufacturer, the speed of reading the UHS-II EXCERIA PRO N502 memory cards reaches 270 MB/s, and the recording speed is 260 MB/s. This is 2.5 times higher than the EXCERIA PRO N401 and 10 times higher than the EXCERIA N301. Users will be able to access card versions with a capacity of 32, 64, 128 and 256 GB. This is up to 2450 photos in RAW format or 220 minutes of video in the 4K format with a frequency of 30 frames per second.

In addition to good speed characteristics, the UHS-II EXCERIA PRO N502 SD cards are shockproof and waterproof and also have X-ray protection.
